$8000 FEDERAL TAX CREDIT FOR FIRST TIME HOME BUYERS- The United States Congress passed the final version of the new economic stimulus bill and it was signed into law by President Obama on Tuesday, February 1, 2009. The law includes a new $8000 Tax Credit For First Time Home Buyers (10% up to $8000) for purchases closed by December 1, 2009. HUD is also announcing new options that alow the Tax Credit to be used for your downpayment.
